The Silverstone master planned community creates a gateway into the Town of Frederick. The residential mix consists of several individual neighborhoods which are reminiscent of Frederick’s small town history including a defined center of parks, schools, and civic spaces. Proposed retail and office development will greatly benefit Frederick’s economic base.
The 60 acre, 175,000 square foot Frederick High School earned a LEED silver award. It serves 1,100 students in 9th-12th grades. LEED Silver project was awarded points for stormwater design quality control by reducing piping and providing bioswales in the parking lot to capture the water and infiltrate the landscaped parking islands also reducing the need for irrigation. HURST provided land planning, surveying and civil engineering for the community and civil engineering for the High School.
